Farleigh Hospice has been recognised by business leaders at the annual Essex Business Awards, receiving the Inspirational London Award for Contribution to the Community for the second year running.

The Essex Business Excellence Awards aim to celebrate success, recognise achievement and highlight the innovative people and companies throughout Essex who are putting the region on the map by boosting the economy while making a positive contribution to the local community.

The award rounds off a fantastic month for Farleigh, coming just days after receiving a Highly commended for the Die Well award at the Marvels of Mid Essex Awards (MOMAs).

This award is organised by the NHS Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and is designed to recognise the stars from the communities of Braintree District, Chelmsford City and Maldon District.

Commenting on the hospice’s success in both awards, Alison Stevens, Chief Executive for Farleigh Hospice, said:

“We are so thrilled to receive the Contribution to the Community award for the second year running and for being recognised by the Marvels of Mid Essex Awards, for our hard work and dedication to supporting people to Die Well.

“Everyone at the hospice including staff, volunteers and our supporters, go above and beyond to support people living with a life-limiting illnesses in mid Essex.  We are so proud of what we have achieved.”
