In December St Oswald’s Hospice embarked on an exciting but nerve-wracking challenge – to raise £300,000 in just 33 hours, to fund their hospice bereavement support and social work services for a year.
But we weren’t alone – our community got behind us, with people and businesses coming together to make every moment of Giving Day count.
The stats speak for themselves. A generous match funding pot from a donor meant that every one of the 2202 donations received were doubled. Our 323 Champions worked hard to reach as many people as possible, meaning that after just over 33 hours, we hit – and surpassed – our target.
What an incredible way to end 2025. We now look forward to 2026, with the funds secured to cover costs for our bereavement and support and social work services for the full year.
