St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth has been caring for people with life limiting conditions for over 30 years and currently cares for over 3,500 people a year. This care is provided at home, at hospital or at the specialist unit based at Turnchapel.
We are looking for a Head of Community Services to lead the ongoing development of community based services provided by St Luke’s Hospice.
The role has both strategic and operational components and will include identifying the specialist palliative care and end of life needs of our local community, responding with the development of services, establishing working links between new developments and existing services and strengthening partnerships across providers of specialist palliative care and end of life care.
We are looking for a senior health or social care professional who holds a masters degree in a relevant subject area and has relevant experience as a senior manager within a health care organisation with a proven track record of developing and delivering successful change and service development initiatives.
