About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are currently supporting around 250 families, both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services include end of life treatment and care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more.

It costs more than £4m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 10% of our funding from government sources.

The challenge:
There’s an exciting new opportunity in our care team for an experienced and self-motivated Head of Family Support & Wellbeing Services, to lead and manage family support and wellbeing services.

The role:
You will lead, develop and grow family support and wellbeing services that include support for siblings, young adults, spiritual and cultural needs, play, therapies and bereavement. You will champion the delivery of high quality evidence-based care and support which is responsive to the needs of our children and families. You will reach out to families who do not currently use our services.

The requirements:
This is a key leadership role and you will share your specialist knowledge and skills with our team. You must be a qualified health or social care professional and ideally hold a degree and/or have significant experience at a senior level. You will have proven leadership and senior operational management experience, have previously led on developing new services to meet changing needs and have the ability to innovate and actively contribute and lead strategic developments.
