Lewis-Manning Hospice provides palliative care for local people with life-limiting illnesses.  The only adult voluntary hospice in the area, we are able to give time to patients in a beautiful setting overlooking Poole Bay.

We are now looking for additional Health Care Assistants. The successful candidates will be able to carry out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of, and under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The applicants will have demonstrated experience of assisting with patient personal care including bathing and toileting, urinary catheters, ileostomy and colostomy care. The applicants will also have experience in dressing minor wounds, will have empathic skills to provide emotional support to patients, family and carers, and be able to participate in patient reporting and documenting of care, in both written and oral format.
