Salary: WB Band 6: £25,585 – £31,888 + death in service benefit and pension from November 2015 (unless transferring in from NHS)

27 days holiday entitlement per annum + B/Hs

Willow Burn Hospice is an independent charity based in Lanchester, delivering Palliative and End of Life Care Services to adults across Derwentside and Co Durham.

This exciting new post here at Willow Burn is crucial in enabling us to continue to improve and develop our services. This innovative post will appeal specifically to practitioners with some experience in palliative care and who are seeking to further develop their expertise in a specialist setting.

This role will provide line management for our Day Hospice and In-patient Services and will ensure team objectives are met or exceeded. The post holder will provide training and advice on evidence based approaches to palliative care delivery. This post will be suitable for a practitioner with experience of care planning, quality assurance e.g. community matron, team leader.

Experience of working with people with life limiting conditions with a focus on rehabilitation and public health is essential for this role, as is a commitment to team working and ensuring patient safety. An understanding of “harm-free” care is essential for this role and the post holder will work closely with the Head of Care Services to ensure we comply with CQC regulations and CCG targets.
