Based at Heald Green, Cheadle, Cheshire.
20 Hours per week over 5 days alternate weekends
Salary £13.824 per annum, pro rata
We are one of the UK’s largest hospices providing a range of specialist palliative care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses. As a charity, our services are available free of charge to people over the age of 16 from across the Greater Manchester area. Our annual running costs are around £9 million per year, approximately two-thirds of which needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.
We require an enthusiastic, reliable and conscientious individual to join our busy housekeeping department. Working on an “as and when required” basis, you will support our permanent team during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of holidays and absence.
We require the housekeeping assistant to help in the day to day cleaning of all patient and staff areas ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained.
You will be a team player with a flexible approach and possess good communication skills, be numerate and literate and be of a friendly, caring and approachable nature. Experience of working in a similar role is essential. The possession of NVQ level 1 & 2 Housekeeping and Hospitality would also be an advantage.
