Salary: Band 6 £30,939 – £40,809 per annum inclusive
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week 

St. Joseph’s Hospice is a health care charity established in 1905 and is today one of the largest and best-known hospices in the country. It provides high quality palliative and end of life care to a significant and growing number of people living with a life limiting illness in East London and beyond. It employs a large team of clinical staff, including medical practitioners who work across community, inpatient and outpatient services delivering individualised, responsive and holistic support to patients and their families/carers.

You will oversee the management and ongoing development of the St. Joseph’s Hospice clinical database to ensure a high standard of data quality and the timely production of reports for use by health professionals (both internal and external) and commissioners. You will work as an integral member of the Hospice’s multi-professional team to ensure that our work with patients and professionals is fully reflected in the information that we gather and distribute. You will produce reports on clinical activity and clinical risks for various stakeholders and you will contribute to the work we are undertaking to make our approach more focused on outcomes. You will manage our current Virtual Care database system as a “super user” and you will be part of the project team to implement a new database in 2015, as we move to electronic record keeping.

You will have the ability to interpret data and present it as clear information, including producing reports. You will have proven experience of working with clinical multi-disciplinary teams and experience in supervising and teaching teams to use clinical information systems. Experience of developing Information Systems and knowledge of Information required for commissioners of health and social care services is also essential.
