St Peter’s Hospice is a well-established and financially secure local charity which has been operational for 36 years. Our focus is on supporting and delivering high-quality, community-based Palliative and End of Life Care to patients with incurable, progressive disease in the wider Bristol area who have complex and/or intense needs.
We are looking for an experienced senior palliative care nurse with a genuine interest in practice development and quality improvement initiatives to support our clinical services. Our 18 bedded Inpatient Unit offers specialist care to patients with complex needs, and we aim to provide excellent levels of person centred care.
You will be responsible for senior leadership and support of the Ward Manager in developing and maintaining this quality of the care. You will have a developing interest in patient safety and data collection to demonstrate how risk of harm is reduced to our patients, and analyse any incidents to see where practice can be improved.
You will benefit from competitive terms and conditions which include continued membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, and will have excellent opportunities for personal and professional development. For further information or an informal meeting please contact Chris Benson, our Director of Patient Care, on 0117 9159437 or at chris.benson@stpetershospice.org.
