Introduction to Evaluation Skills

This one day workshop is aimed at anyone interested in understanding good practice principles in evaluation of hospice care and will be of particular interest to those who may be overseeing, designing or implementing in-house evaluations of hospice care and services. The workshop is open to members and non members (higher course fee applies) of Hospice UK.

The workshop aims to:

  • Provide a general introduction to good practice principles in evaluation of hospice care services, and related concepts, models and ways of thinking
  • Enable participants to understand different models and approaches to evaluation, and their pros and cons

The workshop will be interactive and enable participants to share thinking, questions, and to learn from each other.

By the end of the event participants will be able to:

  • Understand good practice principles in evaluation of hospice care services, and related concepts, models and ways of thinking
  • Understand different models and approaches to evaluation, and their pros and cons
  • Think critically and form judgements about which approaches to evaluation might be appropriate for their own hospice services
