Salary: Band 6 £31,249 – £41,218 per annum inclusive
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
St Joseph’s community palliative care teams work across three London boroughs; City and Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. We are a friendly team, who enjoy working in this culturally rich and diverse part of east London. We have aligned ourselves more closely to our colleagues working in community and primary care to help deliver integrated and partnership working.
Working to improve access to skilled and compassionate palliative care nurses, we are looking to increase our establishment of palliative care nurses. Our teams work seven days a week and we are working towards developing a 24/7 nursing service, to provide dedicated palliative care and support to patients, carers, health and social care professionals day and night.
Applicants must have experience of working at band 5 or 6 in a relevant setting and be keen to develop their career in community palliative care nursing. They must have good communication skills, can demonstrate compassion and a keenness to develop their skills sound in supporting and coordinating care for people with long-term conditions or in the last years of life.
St Joseph’s Hospice supports the professional and personal development of its staff. Using a competency framework to support development, we will provide training, clinical supervision and support in this role.
