This module will provide students with the knowledge and skills to support and care for patients when the focus of care is to maintain their quality of life.
The course will enable health and social care practitioners to examine the assessment of a patient’s palliative care needs and symptoms, and consider appropriate interventions based on available evidence. It is relevant to any professional working with patients who have life limiting illnesses in any care setting.

Entry requirements
Applicants should currently be caring for palliative care patients.
Cost: £860 for academic year 2013/14 (overseas student prices will vary)
Academic credits: 15 credits at level 6 (degree)
