£25,280 – £34,248 per annum, pro rata dependant on experience
30 hours per week over 4 days
We are one of the UK’s largest hospices providing a range of specialist palliative care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses. As a charity, our services are available free of charge to people over the age of 16 from across the Greater Manchester area. Our annual running costs are over £9 million per year, approximately two-thirds of which needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.
Are you passionate about palliative care? Do you have excellent teaching skills?
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and experienced 1st Level Registration nurse with palliative care experience and experience of teaching both practice and theory in a variety of settings. You will be a role model spending a minimum of 2 days in the clinical area in a supernumerary capacity providing advice, guidance, and supporting staff in clinical practice. You will be key in the development of organisational competencies and the implementation of these. You will actively participate in service improvement and will be involved in clinical audit, education and research programmes within the organisation.
You will have excellent communication skills, be willing to be a key trainer for moving and handling. You will also have experience of teaching both practice and theory in a variety of settings to clinical and non clinical staff, internally and externally.
As part of your development we will support you to undertake the advanced communication skills training, along with other specialist palliative care training relevant to the role.
