Prospect Hospice’s Garden Fete, held on Saturday 7 September, has been hailed as a resounding success, drawing together a vibrant community in support of the charity’s vital services.
The picturesque gardens of Prospect Hospice provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of festivities, with guests arriving to find an array of attractions that catered to all ages from garden games and a petting zoo to craft stations and homemade treats.
The fete was also an opportunity to raise crucial funds for Prospect Hospice, which offers specialised care and support to local people and their families with life-limiting conditions.
The generosity of attendees, combined with the success of the tombolas and raffles, has ensured a significant boost to the hospice’s fundraising efforts raising £15,037. The most ever raised.
Debbie Robson, Prospect@Home team leader, said: “The garden fete is always a heartwarming event. It’s wonderful to see our community come together like this, showing such support and love for the hospice. The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.”
Guests also expressed their delight at the event. Local resident Sheila Harris remarked, “I had a lovely time at the garden fete. The atmosphere was so lively, and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves for such an important charity. The hospice does incredible work, and it’s wonderful to be able to contribute while having fun.”
Prospect Hospice’s Chief Executive, Jeremy Lune, expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved:
