Quality Improvement Lead Role

Hours – 15-18 hours per week
Salary – £27,866 pro rata 

Quality is at the heart of hospice values. The Quality Improvement Lead role is a new post created to enhance and coordinate the hospice quality assurance agenda. This lead role will be responsible for the quality governance functions across the hospice; this includes policy review and development, audit and compliance with local and national standards. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the governance and quality agenda supporting the delivery of a hospice wide action plan for governance, compliance and assurance.
  • Review current hospice policies and procedures across organisational departments and engage with colleagues across the hospice in relation to policy management.
  • To assist the development of methods and process to aid the management of clinical risk.
  • Lead the development of a robust audit programme.
  • Collaborate with staff in the setting and monitoring of standards across hospice services.
  • Promote a culture that actively improves clinical safety and quality.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional
  • Evidence of clinical audit and governance agenda 
  • Evidence of good organisation and administrative skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously
  • A motivated self starter able to develop ideas and translate them into workable solutions.
