Registration open for Carers Parliament in Scotland

Categories: Care.

The theme for this year’s Carers Parliament is ‘Your Rights’, as voted by 1,000 carers who responded to the consultation in 2012.

Carers who register will be entered into a ballot for places, and there will be two delegates from each of the 73 Scottish Parliamentary constituencies. The ballot will be conducted by carers on the steering group and will be held in July 2013, with results being made known in August 2013.

A small number of additional places have been reserved for carers who are contributing.

Some funding will be made available to support carer attendance, including travel, subsistence and replacement care costs. Details will be released to successful applicants.

More details about the Carers Parliament can be found on the Carers Scotland website
