Job Title: Senior Healthcare Assistants/Healthcare Assistants (In-Patient Unit)
Salary: Equivalent to Band 2 – £16,314 – £18,751 p.a. pro rata
Equivalent to Band 3 – £17,584 – £20,434 p.a. pro rata
includes 5% fringe London Weighting

Princess Alice Hospice is one of the top ten adult hospices in the UK providing specialist palliative care and support to a community of more than a million people living in Surrey, south West London and Middlesex. Our superb Hospice building houses our Day Services and a purpose-built In Patient Unit with the capacity to care for 24 highly complex patients at any one time, offering those who need to stay with us a private, ensuite room with large doors that open out onto our garden, courtyard or decking area.
Working alongside other members of the hospice multi-professional team, our healthcare assistants take pride in delivering care of an extremely high standard with a ‘can do’ attitude. As a new member of our nursing team you will be fully supported, whilst gaining essential knowledge and skills in specialist palliative care in a challenging but uplifting environment. You will also have the opportunity to gain an extensive range of generic clinical nursing skills.

We are looking for motivated Healthcare Assistants who have excellent care values, a strong sense of team spirit and a passion for delivering high quality, compassionate patient and family focused care.
Health care assistants should possess a good standard of general education and have some experience of delivering nursing care, preferably on a ward, in the Community or care home.
Senior healthcare assistants should possess relevant NVQ/QCF qualifications and have experience of nursing palliative care patients
