Nettlebed is a Sue Ryder hospice, based in Oxfordshire. We’re here for people aged 18 and over who are dying from conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease. We offer a huge range of support, from inpatient care in our 12 bed hospice to a 7-day community nursing service and day services, which helps people stay at home and provides respite to carers. Our expert care team includes doctors, nurses, care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational and complementary therapists, social workers, bereavement support workers and volunteer befrienders.

Duchess of Kent is a Sue Ryder hospice, based in Reading. We’re here for people aged 18 and over dying from all kinds of conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease. We offer a huge range of support from our three sites, from inpatient care at the 15-bed Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading, day services which help people stay at home longer and offer respite to carers, to Wokingham Day Hospice and Charles Clore Day Hospice in Newbury. Our expert care team includes doctors, nurses, care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational and complementary therapists, social workers, bereavement support workers and volunteer befrienders.

At Sue Ryder not only do we treat more conditions than any other UK charity in our hospices, neurological care centres and out in the community; we also campaign to improve the lives of people living with them. We see the person, not the condition, taking time to understand the small things that help that person live the fullest life they can. Our shops, fundraising and volunteers support us to be there for people at the most difficult time of their lives.

We are looking for a truly exceptional person to support the Heads of Clinical Services and Senior Leadership team in reviewing and improving Sue Ryder’s service provision across West Berkshire, South Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire thanks to the generous support of Morrisons. The successful candidate will be based equally between Duchess of Kent Hospice, Reading and Nettlebed Hospice, Henley.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a sound knowledge of NHS/social care commissioning, service improvement methodologies, good project management skills, be task focused, able to articulate complex information in a plain and clear manner, have good analytical skills and have the tenacity to see projects through to completion.

For any queries, please telephone 01491 641384 and ask for Karen Guy, Head of Clinical Services.
