Full-time 37.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7, Monday-Sunday)
Salary £16,790 p.a. + bonus
Chestnut Tree Hospice offers specialist palliative care to life limited children, young people and their families and is the only children’s hospice in Sussex. Our retail business provides one of our most important revenue streams to support the hospice selling quality second hand goods from 11 Chestnut Tree Shops across Sussex.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be able to work independently and as part of a team, to oversee the smooth and efficient running of our Uckfield shop.
Responsibilities include:
- delivering excellent customer service
- managing volunteers
- stock control
- visual merchandising
- liaison with the Distribution Centre
- managing shop operations
- using the EPOS system
- daily cash handling and banking
- ensuring statutory regulations are met
- ensuring the security and safety of staff, volunteers and the shop.
Experience in retail, sales or a similar commercial field is vital and experience of working in a charity shop is highly desirable.
