We spoke to Jess about how this partnership started and what it means to Sixton London.
How did you first hear about Royal Trinity Hospice and how you could support us?
We wanted to support a charity within our local community and while we were researching options, we met one of your volunteers at a trade show. She explained how you could use surplus stock sold in the Trinity charity shops to generate a financial donation. I recognised the name Royal Trinity Hospice as our neighbour had been a patient.
How easy has it been for Sixton London to donate to our charity shops?
We loved the idea of donating surplus stock as it’s so straightforward and helps us clear out our stock room of any production samples, seconds or end of lines in one go. We donate 3-4 times a year when we need a clear out for incoming stock. The process is very easy – we book a collection and it’s picked up a few days later.
What did you think when you found out how much your donations had raised in our shops?
We were surprised and extremely pleased to see how quickly our donations converted into substantial funds for the hospice. It’s given us a huge amount of satisfaction to see the figure increasing to £45,000 over 8 years.
