Morning workshop
A recent House of Commons Select Committee found the Mental Capacity Act is not being used in practice as the legislation intended. As a result the Care Quality Commission has been charged with monitoring effective ‘use in practice’ across health and social care.
This half-day workshop will give you a clear and user friendly guide to applying the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) in practice. The session will focus on the guiding principals of the Act using real practice examples. You will also get the opportunity to use case study examples in guided exercises to support learning and application to practice.
This workshop is aimed at all staff who are required to apply the MCA in practice.
Attendees may also be interested in the Advance Care Planning workshop being held in the afternoon.
