VOLUNTARY SERVICES MANAGER
Salary: Band 7 £37,659 – £47,778 per annum inclusive
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Involve some evening and weekend work as required
We are seeking an experienced Voluntary Services Manager to manage the Volunteer Services team who provide a range of services with the support of volunteers across the Hospice including: retail support, fundraising assistance, reception and administration cover, help with running our community Café as well as a variety of support to our patients both in the Hospice and in patients homes.
Duties will involve two main areas of activity – the vetting, recruitment, placement and integration of volunteers within Hospice ( such as on the wards and within projects) and working with managers and partnership agencies to ensure that the Hospice has an effective presence through the support of volunteers in the new and emerging communities residing in the East/ North East London.
In order to work effectively in this post you must have exceptional people skills, as the primary aim of this post is to build and sustain long-term relationships with individuals, groups and agencies who are willing to make available to the Hospice their skills, time and energy, mostly on a voluntary basis.
