The search comes as a result of former President and CEO Mr. David Cook announcing his resignation in August to return to the family home in Louisville, Kentucky. Carolina Caring’s Board of Directors named Ms. Dana Killian to serve as interim CEO. Zingaro, Fidler, Wolfe & Co. was selected to lead the search for a permanent CEO after a thorough RFP review process.
“Zingaro, Fidler, Wolfe & Company has a proven track record of building strong relationships with their clients, and successfully hiring more than 500 executives in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences space over the past 30 years,” says Darrell Johnson, Board Chair. Their vast experience and tailored approach to senior-level recruiting make them the best partner to help us identify a seasoned, innovative healthcare leader and mission-driven visionary who will usher Carolina Caring into the future.
Carolina Caring has formed a search committee comprised of board members, community partners, and senior leadership executives. The committee is looking for a seasoned healthcare executive to lead the organization’s vital strategic initiatives. They seek an individual who is a proven advocate for hospice and palliative care, both within local communities and nationally, and can lead with compassion, inclusion and cultural sensitivity, community focus, and financial sustainability.
The selection process is expected to take several months, with a new CEO announced at the beginning of 2022. Interested candidates looking to know more about the position or to apply should contact Tracy Wolfe at twolfe@zingaro.com or (512) 327-7277.
