A new edition of NHPCO’s Pediatric E-Journal is available, free-of-charge
Glimmers of Hope in Pediatric Palliative/Hospice Care
November 2021, Issue #65
The 65th issue of the Pediatric E-Journal published by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s pediatric advisory council is now available online. The editors wanted to end this year with a collection of stories of hope and inspiration. After more than a year and half living with COVID, they felt the readers were so deserving of being lifted up from the heaviness of this pandemic and all that it has brought to their lives, personally and professionally. This issue, therefore, offers a collection of articles to stimulate discussion about glimmers of hope experienced by professionals, volunteers, and family members as a result of their involvements in pediatric palliative and hospice care.
Also, be sure to catch the Items of Interest section at the end of the E-Journal for news and resources related to pediatric hospice and palliative care.
A few highlights from this issue:
- Finding My People: A Teen’s Story of the Impact of Peer-Based Grief Support
- Small Hopes from a Reluctant Zoom-er
- Finding Hopes When a Child Dies: How Can the Medical Team Reframe the Issue?
- Capturing Glimmers of Light through Photography
