Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the previously planned in-person event will be held online.
The 2020 National Hospice Foundation Gala, originally scheduled during the spring Leadership & Advocacy Conference, is now a virtual event being held Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The event is free and open to anyone, but attendees must register at nationalhospicefoundation.org/VirtualGala.
The event will include a live auction and will highlight the Hospice Music Project which is raising money to provide grants to hospices in need of Personal Protective Equipment as well as the Faces of Caring social media campaign. The Virtual Gala will include a live auction and brief remarks from providers and special guests. The event is expected to run about one hour.
Funds raised at the 2020 NHF Virtual Gala will be used to develop resources and tools for hospices to provide community bereavement support to anyone who has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and needs psychosocial support.
“We are pleased to be able to offer a virtual gala this year so our supporters of National Hospice Foundation can spend time with each other and enjoy a special celebratory evening while supporting the important work of the hospice and palliative care community,” said Edo Banach, President and CEO of NHPCO and NHF.
The National Hospice Foundation thanks the 2020 Gala sponsors for their commitment and generosity. Sponsors include Diamond Sponsor Cambia Health Foundation, Ruby Sponsor Furst Group, Sapphire Sponsor Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, and many other generous donors.
Those who cannot attend the event but would like to support the National Hospice Foundation may make a donation online.
