Seasons Hospice (based in Rochester, MN) has hired Kristina Wright-Peterson of Rochester, to succeed Beverly Haynes as executive director. Haynes announced her retirement in September 2021.
Kristina Wright-Peterson holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing Informatics, and is currently a public health nurse for Olmsted County, in addition to working as a supplemental RN at the Seasons Hospice House. She founded the nonprofit organization, Red Drop Resources (formerly Med City Foundation) in 2014, which supports individuals who are dealing with blood cancers. Her father’s death from leukemia in 1995 served as the inspiration for establishing this organization. During Wright-Peterson’s tenure as executive director at Red Drop, she was instrumental in the purchase of a residential facility to house families of individuals with blood cancer, and their families, while they were going through treatment at Mayo Clinic.
Speaking to the legacy of Seasons Hospice, Wright-Peterson remarks, “The incredible work that has taken place over the last 25 years has put us in an extraordinary position to serve our community for the next 25 years.” She will begin her full-time employment with Seasons Hospice April 18, and will assume the role of executive director June 1.
