ehospice is about the free sharing of news, stories, blogs, research findings, information, policy, best practice and innovation in palliative care around the world.
Our target audiences are palliative care professionals and volunteers, carers and everyone with an interest in end-of-life care.
In the complex global world of healthcare, sharing of information and developments is vital for practitioners.
ehospice enables readers to stay in touch, to learn about new initiatives and alternative ways of approaching problems; to share their views; to celebrate success and to ask questions of their peers.
ehospice also plays an important role in breaking down the isolation of those giving and receiving palliative care in countries where services are scarce by connecting them to a vibrant global hospice-palliative care community.
ehospice is now looking for new board members willing to be a part of this adventure of news and story sharing. Trustees share responsibility for the governance of the organisation and future strategic planning.

ehospice Trustee – Person Specification
ehospice aims to have a Board consisting of 5-9 people characterised by:
- representation of different geographic regions
- a good understanding of charity governance
- a broad spread of skills as detailed below.
Trustees will be recruited to ensure the right mix of skills to carry out its governance duties whilst being able to facilitate communication, news, views and inspiration about hospice and palliative care activities worldwide.
While the Board will keep its composition and skills under review, it is envisaged that the Trustees would ideally include many of the following backgrounds and areas of expertise (in no particular order):
- Experience and knowledge of provision of hospice palliative care in any setting
- Experience of and passion for telling the story of hospice palliative care
- IT skills and social media skills
- Experience managing a website
- Journalism
- Communications, brand, campaigning
- Strategy and policy
- Finance and audit
- Risk and compliance
- Corporate governance
- Legal experience and knowledge
- Executive management and HR
- Business networks and experience
- Strategic marketing
- Industry/sector skills and experience
- Fundraising
