Abstract submission opens for Cardiff Conference

Categories: Education.

The public is invited to submit relevant abstracts for the 7th Cardiff International Conference in Paediatric Palliative Care entitled: ‘Medicine and Compassion: Tool for the Trade, or Dangerous Distraction?’ The conference will be held at Cardiff University, Wales, UK, from 8 – 10th July 2015.

The theme of this year’s conference will explore the relationship between cure and care; whether the emphasis on one must inevitably risk sacrificing the other, and whether compassion and scientific research are necessarily in tension in caring for dying children.

Research abstracts or workshop proposals are welcomed on any aspect of palliative care in children and from any professional discipline: nurses, doctors, therapists and theologians, scientists and psychologists, epidemiologists and ethicists.

The abstract submission form can be downloaded from the ICPCN website. The closing date for submission is 1st February 2015.
