On the 13th of October individuals and organisations across the globe wore their most beautiful and outrageous hats for an important cause; in honour of the over 21 million children worldwide living with life-limiting or incurable conditions.
#Hatson4CPC is an annual campaign introduced by the International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) four years ago to raise international awareness of the work of children’s hospices and children’s palliative care services worldwide. #Hatson4CPC encouraged individuals, companies and organisations to:
- Wear a hat on Friday, 13 October 2017
- Take a photo and post on social media using the hashtag #hatson4cpc
- Make a donation to local children’s palliative care service
One organisation that went all out for the day was Bear Cottage, the only children’s hospice in New South Wales, Australia, which is dedicated to providing care for children with life-limiting conditions 24 hours a day. Bear Cottage held their very own Mad Hatters Tea Party which was beautifully captured in this video.
