The New Zealand Hospice Awareness Week runs from 13-19 May 2013. Hospice New Zealand is encouraging people to think about what matters to them and discuss their plans with family and friends.
The organization urges people to: “Take some time to think and talk about what you value, what you appreciate and what makes you happy – people, experiences or possessions.”
Each year hospices plan a range of events and activities to assist communities in better understanding the services provided by hospices, the importance of end of life care and also a chance to have fun and make a donation.
Hospices around New Zealand are planning events to mark Hospice Awareness Week and raise awareness of hospice care and advance planning.
