Paediatric palliative care symposium part of regional cancer congress in Jordan

The congress has been organized by the Jordanian Society of Paediatric Oncology and King Hussein Cancer Centre in collaboration with St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Topics to be discussed in the symposium include: 

  • Integrated palliative care practices to improve the quality of paediatric oncology care
  • Recognition, belief, and trust: complex pain in children and adolescents 
  • Establishing a palliative care programme in developing countries 
  • Paediatric pain assessment and management 

Experts and speakers in the field of childhood cancers participating in the congress include consultants, researchers and specialists in their field from UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, India, Jordan, and Lebanon. 

The conference will be attended by participants from countries including Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, KSA, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia and Kenya, in addition to local participation from both the public and private health sectors in Jordan.
