Prisoner takes first prize in hospice care drawing competition

According to the Taipei Times the competition, hosted annually by the Zhang Quihua Culture and Art Foundation, was established nine years ago to commemorate the modern hospice care figure Dame Cicely Saunders, and aims to promote hospice care nationally.

The prisoner, surnamed Wu (吳), submitted a piece entitled ‘Slow your steps, open the windows to your soul’, which “conveyed in a profound manner how modern people yearn for freedom,” the foundation said.
