With World Hospice and Palliative Care Day fast approaching, we are pleased to tell you that registration is open to add your event to the global map of impact on the World Day webpage.
World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, organised by the Worldwide Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance (WHPCA), is a unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world. You can add your event here.
The 2021 theme is: ‘Leave No One Behind – equity in access to palliative care’. The aim of the theme is to continue to highlight that access to palliative care is not equitable across the world and to shine a light on projects that are striving to tackle this inequity as well as celebrating the world of palliative care and increasing awareness of its need.
Last year, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic many World Hospice and Palliative Care Day events took place online and we expect this trend to continue for 2021.
The WHPCA is producing key messages, draft social media posts and other support materials that you can use in planning your World Day event and communications. They will be available soon, and we will email you with a link to download them when they are ready. Watch this space!
