Salary: £18,121 – £21,796 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience

We are one of the UK’s largest hospices providing a range of specialist palliative care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses. As a charity, our services are available free of charge to people over the age of 16 from across the Greater Manchester area. Our annual running costs are around £9 million per year, approximately two-thirds of which needs to be raised from voluntary contributions.
St Ann’s Hospice at Heald Green is a 27 bedded Inpatient Unit and also a Day Therapy Unit offering Day Care and Medical Outpatients services to people and their carers affected by life limiting illness. We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant practitioner with experience of working within rehabilitation.
The post holder will support and assist the Occupational Therapist and the Physiotherapist in the assessment, management and monitoring of patients, in order to allow people affected by life limiting illnesses achieve and maintain optimum quality of life.
Applicants will have experience of caring for patients with long term conditions, cancer or palliative care. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage your own caseload, prioritising your clinical and non clinical workload and have excellent organisational skills.
Applicants must have an Assistant Practitioner qualification.
