Are you looking for a new challenge? We are an independent hospice with a dedicated multi-professional team working alongside trained volunteers who are committed to caring for patients and families from our local community.
This post within the Family Support Service will ensure the bereavement needs of families and friends of patients are met.
You will be an experienced Counsellor or Health Care professional with a counselling diploma, be Accredited or working towards Accreditation and have on-going Registration with an appropriate professional body. You will be ready for the challenge and rewards of further developing and co-ordinating the bereavement service at the Hospice.
You will co-ordinate the delivery of this service, train and support a team of volunteers who along with other members of the Family Support Service and multi disciplinary team deliver a range of support options.
You will therefore need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to supervise the work of others. You will work as part of a supportive team whose focus is to ensure high standards of patient and family care are maintained.
The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of our patients, their families and the service is essential and previous experience of working in a health care environment is desirable.
