Statistics show that 170 people in every 100,000 died of cancer in 2010, but Cancer Research UK predicts that this figure will fall to 142 in every 100,000 in 2030.
The projections also show a predicted 42% drop in deaths caused by ovarian cancer, as well as a 27% drop in deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
