Oakhaven Hospice serves the community of the New Forest, providing in-patient, day hospice and community care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support to their families/carers.
Community Engagement Clinical Lead
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week
Oakhaven Hospice believes it is important to understand the needs of its Community and work together to build the service and improve experience of end of life care for all.
We are looking for a Registered Healthcare Professional to lead on the development, and management of Community Engagement strategic objectives ensuring that appropriate clinical expertise and support is provided.
Working very closely with the community, support groups, volunteers and internal colleagues, you will be responsible for raising awareness of, and setting up, Community Engagement activities.
This person will work strategically to identify Community Engagement opportunities and project manage activities successfully to ensure they are self-sustainable. You will use your professional expertise and knowledge to support individuals and groups by providing clinical support and advice where necessary or signpost appropriately.
We are looking for a qualified health practitioner with proven experience working with those with advanced disease, including cancer, as well as
experience working in a multi-disciplinary team setting. Clinical leadership and teaching skills are essential.
Proven project management and organisation skills are essential as is the ability to communicate professionally and appropriately to a range of different individuals. Whilst having appropriate leadership skills, it is vital that the successful candidate is a team player. Excellent time management skills are essential as are flexibility in working hours.
