You’ve heard of birth plans…Now write your own death plan: NHS Trust encourages terminally ill patients to leave final wish list
Terminally ill patients are to be encouraged by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and St Catherine’s Hospice to write their own ‘end of life plan’ instructing doctors, nurses and family about their wishes for their final months, days and hours.
30 years of unrivalled palliative care and dedication has been celebrated by the pioneering St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington.
The Yorkshire Post and its sister titles across the region are to raise money for Martin House, Bluebell Wood and Forget-Me-Not children’s hospices over the next 12 months.

Scottish cabinet minister Humza Yousaf turned up at Glasgow’s Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice with 32 members of his family to say a big thank you to staff for caring for his late uncle and “best friend”.
Local hospices, including Myton, and hospitals have teamed up to offer even more support to those who suffer from cancer.
