Hospice Palliative Care Education Lead

(dependant upon palliative care experience)
Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Due to career progression we are now looking to recruit into our Band 7 Hospice Palliative Care Education Lead post.

We are looking for an experienced motivated individual with proven abilities in teaching and excellent IT skills. You should be dynamic and resourceful with excellent interpersonal skills along with the commitment to enhance professional development within the Hospice, University and other organisations.

Minimum requirements for the role are a graduate qualification, proven experience within the speciality, teaching qualification and advanced communication training skills (or willingness to undertake) 

The successful applicant will;

  • Work in partnership with the workforce and external agencies to ensure practice based learning enhances clinical expertise and effectiveness. 
  • Development and ongoing evaluation of the Hospice’s Palliative Care education strategy in line with Strategic and Annual Business Plans. 
  • Further develop and maintain an outreach education programme which encourages high standards of palliative care across the health sector, increased awareness of relevant issues across the non-healthcare sector and that maximises dependable sources of income for the Hospice. 
  • Develop and deliver the Hospice’s Palliative Care Education Programme in line with set quality assurance procedures.
