Heart of Kent Hospice provides expert palliative care and end of life care for people across Mid-Kent.  The Hospice serves a population of approximately 220k and needs to raise around £4 million a year.  We now have the   following newly developed role which will help us to achieve this goal.

This is an exciting opportunity for a person to proactively support the research needs of the Individual Giving Team.  This will include prospect research and identification through a range of sources, such as the internet, Hospice database, publications and other external agencies and contacts, to obtain relevant information to support income generation, particularly from high net worth individuals, trusts, and those leaving a gift in a will.  You will produce briefing notes and research which contribute to the fundraising strategy, and will be involved in the development of materials and communications for a wide range of individual giving campaigns.

Applicants will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent, and must have experience of gathering and cross-referencing information from a wide range of research resources, especially online media and databases.  Knowledge of CRM systems, such as Raiser’s Edge would be desirable, and you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to analyse and present research findings in a confident manner.
