LIVE WELL INFORMATION AND SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Fixed Term for 18 Months
Salary: Band 3 £20,958 – £23,813 per annum inclusive
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
An excellent opportunity exists to join our Big Lottery funded Live Well Information and Support Service.
You will work in a pioneering community based service which offers drop in information and support, peer support and self-management opportunities for people affected by a life-limiting illness.
We are seeking an Information and Support Assistant with a strong work ethic and commitment to providing a high quality service. Under the direction of the Live Well Information and Support Team Manager you will assist in the day to day delivery of the Live Well Information and Support Service.
You will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage your workload flexibly and work under pressure. Experience providing information and support to people with life-limiting illnesses, families and carers is essential.
The job will be based at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney in East London. Full support and training will be given in all aspects of the job by the hospice. The post holder will be directly accountable to the Live Well Information and Support Team Manager.
St. Joseph’s Hospice was founded by the Religious Sisters of Charity in 1905 and provides high quality palliative and end of life care to a significant and growing number of people living in East London and beyond.
