The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House is thrilled to announce they will be holding “King’s Lynn’s Biggest Tea Party” on Thursday, 10th August 2023, from 2pm until 4pm. This prestigious gathering will be hosted by The Mayor of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, Cllr Margaret Wilkinson, promising a special experience for attendees.

Held in the historic Stone Hall and Assembly Rooms of the King’s Lynn Town Hall, the centrepiece of the event will be an exquisite Afternoon Tea – perhaps the biggest ever held in the town – offering two enticing options.

Guests can indulge in a delightful Afternoon Tea for £15 per head or treat themselves to a Prosecco Afternoon Tea, which includes a glass of sparkling wine, available at £20 per head. As spaces are limited, early booking is strongly recommended to secure a spot at this not-to-be-missed occasion.

All proceeds from King’s Lynn’s Biggest Tea Party will directly benefit The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House and contribute to their ongoing mission to provide free care, comfort and compassion to people in the local community who are living with a life limiting illness, whilst also providing support for their families and friends.

Nicola Ellis, Chief Executive of the Norfolk Hospice, said “It is a privilege to join forces with the Mayor to host King’s Lynn’s Biggest Tea Party. This event will not only bring the community together but we hope it will also raise vital funds to ensure we can continue our important work. We invite everyone to join us for an afternoon of fun and a little indulgence.”

With its fully accessible venue, the King’s Lynn Town Hall welcomes all members of the community to come and enjoy this special gathering.

Nicola continued, “Anyone who is not able to come to the party on Thursday, 10th August, can still take part in Tea For Tapping which will take place for a whole week, starting on Monday 7th August. We will be serving afternoon teas for patients at the Hospice and would welcome donations towards that, and we would be delighted if others can organise their own afternoon tea in support of the Hospice.”

Tea For Tapping is a new initiative to coincide with Afternoon Tea Week (7-13 August 2023). During this time, individuals are encouraged to sponsor an afternoon tea for hospice patients at the modest cost of £15. Alternatively, supporters can organise their own Afternoon Tea Party and fundraise to support the hospice’s invaluable work.
