Salary approx £14,958 per annum (depending on qualifications & experience)

ellenor are the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley, West Kent and Bexley. Our services include adult In-patient and Day Therapy at the Hospice in Northfleet, and 24 hour Hospice at Home for all ages. Our strategic aims recognise our role in leading the development of services to the wider community at the end of life, and we see an increasing role in education and training and as a coordinator for providing the best possible palliative care to more people and families.

We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Nurse or Support Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Children’s Hospice Care team as part of our Respite service.

The children and young people we work with are aged 0-19 and have life limiting or life threatening conditions. We provide 1:1 care for children in their own homes, as well as a range of group activities for children and families. The needs of the children and families vary greatly and you will be required to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to the complex emotional and physical needs of the children and be able to work flexibly to support these needs in a variety of settings, often working independently. A caring attitude towards children and their families and a willingness to work some evenings and weekends is essential. A qualification in child care would be desirable. Training and opportunity for development is provided.

This post is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance. Support with professional development will be provided. An employer contributory pension scheme is available, and NHS Pension Scheme members can transfer in their pension.
