The Richard Tompkins Nurse Development Scholarship is open to registered nurses, midwives and health visitors who want to broaden their existing knowledge and develop leadership skills.
The programme includes a five-day residential course at an international practice development school, with the course fee, accommodation, food and reasonable travel expenses paid for. After the course scholars are mentored for a year with face-to-face visits and support over email and phone. Additionally they will become honorary FoNS Associates for 12 months, and will have the chance to contribute towards publishing a paper in the International Practice Development Journal.
To apply, practitioners should be based in the UK and ideally be working at ward sister level. The closing date for applications is Monday 13 March, 5pm.
The scholarships will be awarded during FoNS’ 30 Year Celebration Event in London on Wednesday 14 June.
FoNS is an independent organisation that has been supporting nurses in the UK for the last two decades. The Richard Tompkins Nurse Development Scholarship is now in its fifth year.
