Volunteers transition lead (6 months)

We are devolving management responsibility for volunteers from our HR and volunteering office to user departments throughout the hospice, and we need an experienced, effective manager, planner and organizer to plan and coordinate the transition.

The successful candidate will probably be a graduate, possibly hold an appropriate management qualification and certainly have substantial experience of handling projects and managing people in an environment of significant change. Experience of working with volunteers and senior managers, and of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, is essential, as are excellent interpersonal skills and energy. The role requires imagination and a proactive approach, as well as a rare blend of sensitivity to the needs of others combined with robustness of character. If you are a persuasive problem solver you might be the person we are looking for.

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £32,335 – £36,109 per annum (including London Allowance) pro rata
