NCPC has been asked by Public Health England to review and update the North East Charter for A Good Death, so that it can be rolled-out across the country, as part of a public health approach to improving end of life care for everyone.
The Charter was originally produced by the former NHS North East Strategic Health Authority in 2009/10, in partnership with health, social care and other organisations in the north east of England, and with the involvement of patients, carers and their representatives.
As part of its work to update the Charter, NCPC is consulting with a range of partners, before identifying six local authorities to work as partners to pilot the ‘refreshed’ Charter in their locality.
As part of the consultation process, NCPC have produced a short survey, which you can complete online, before 26 March. You can download the original charter from the PHINE website.
