The new website for St Helena Hospice contains an updated clean and attractive interface. It includes online signups with clearer linking to online donations, which aim to help drive fundraising and reduce printing costs.
Particularly noteworthy is the ‘Kids’ section, which gives help and advice to children affected by illness or bereavement. Children are asked ‘How do you feel?’ and can click on cartoon faces such as ‘angry’, ‘confused’ or ‘worried’, which then takes them to advice on how to manage their feelings.
Holly Smart, PR & Marketing Manager at St Helena Hospice said: “We also worked really closely with relevant psycho-social team members on the ‘Kids’ section so that all considerations were taken on board; it’s fantastic that we have given them an additional tool to work with.
“It shows that a hospice website doesn’t just have to be about the provision of information or even fundraising, it can be used to work with those we support. We’re looking forward to developing this further in the future.”
